What an exciting week! The biggest events in Central Florida for this week are the Flamingo Resort 4th Anniversary parties, which start on Friday, August 23. On Friday night at 10 p.m., DJ O will be hosting an interactive movie party in the main outdoor courtyard. The movie being shown is the cult favorite “Rocky Horror Picture Show”! Dress up, get ready to do the Time Warp, and celebrate with the rest of Central Florida underneath the stars over in St. Petersburg. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons there will be special T-Dances by the pool!

If you can’t get over to St. Petersburg, I’ve picked out some great weekend events for you not just in Tampa but also in Orlando. While RuPaul said that Mondays are a drag, we do have two special events listed for Monday, and two more for Tuesday, so there’s no excuse to stay indoors no matter what night of the week it is. Party hearty! Lots of love to you all!

Friday August 23

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 winner Tyra Sanchez is the centerpiece of Foreplay Fridays at The Brink Orlando. Visitors 18 and up are welcomed. Doors open at 9 p.m. and there is no cover before 10:30. Tyra Sanchez’s show starts at 1 a.m.

whcf honeypotYou may recognize Topher DiMaggio from some steamy porn scenes or from his new turn as Andrew Christian underwear model. No matter how you know him, you’ll get your chance to meet him in person at Steam Fridays at The Honey Pot in Tampa. The party starts at 10 p.m., with no cover before 10:30. DJ Charles Machado is in charge of music and our own Amy DeMilo will be performing with her supporting cast of queens!

Saturday August 24

To kick off the back to school season, Pulsate Saturday at Pulse in whcf pulsesatOrlando is holding a special Jocks vs. Nerds theme party. People 21 and up don’t have to pay a cover before 11 p.m. (18+ are welcome but they have to pay cover). If you check in on facebook or Foursquare, bring your phone over to the bar and your bartender will give you a surprise treat! DJ Scott Robert will be playing Top 40, dance and house music. Angelica Sanchez and RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Roxxxy Andrews will be hosting the drag shows at 11 and 12:30.

Special guest DJs Razor and Guido host the event “Electric” at Parliament House in Orlando. They promise clubgoers a mindblowing experience in light and sound. Join them in the disco; there is no cover before 11 p.m.

Russian singer Natali Yura shoots for dance club success with her debut single “Scream for Love.” Bradley’s on 7th in Tampa is having a CD release party, giving away the authorized remixes to “Scream for Love.” First-come, first-served, you should look for the giveaways to start after 9 p.m. There isn’t a cover tonight or any night at Bradley’s.

Monday August 26
